THE VOICE OF THE STREETS
Greetings, my name is Preach Ankobia. I'm a multi-disciplined creative who started DJing in the 8th grade. By the age of 16, I had spun alongside legends like DJ Clue, David Rodigan, Stone Love, Tony Matterhorn & more.
I'm best known for penning & performing “One More Chance ft. Meryem Saci” from the film “Sur Le Rythme”. My music has been heard on tv shows like Hustle in Brooklyn, Ray Donovan, Shameless, Switched at Birth, Jérémie, Up All Night & The Art of More as well as Cirque du Soleil's 'Totem'.
I have evolved into the role of director of Kalmunity whom I've been a member of since 2003! We are Canada's largest and longest running improv collective who are considered 1 of 5 must-see attractions in Montreal. You can catch us live every Sunday night at Cafe Resonance & Tuesday night at Petit Campus.
I'm driven by my community & lend a hand wherever I can help. I have coordinated the J2K music program & fundraiser, Street Vibes as well as concerts for the famed Under Pressure Graffiti Convention & programming for Hip Hop You Don't Stop, Montreal's only Hip Hop festival.
Finally, I assist in the direction of Stolen From Africa, an inner-city nonprofit organization & lifestyle brand who work with a variety of youth initiatives on a plethora of incentives surrounding cultural outreach, communal funding, legal resources, active self-awareness, and youth empowerment.
I invite you to discover my music, both new and old, follow me on your favorite social networks, check out my videos & literature, buy my event tickets & apparel or subscribe to my blog, all from this one-stop shop.
Thanks for spending time. You're truly appreciated!
